Jesus+Nothing=Everything

People struggle with the temptation towards legalism.  We always want to control our own destiny.  This leads to a life of frustration and anxiety.  No matter how low we set the bar, we fail to meet our own expectations.  Even in the church, we replace the liberating message of the gospel with our own attempts of moral improvement.  The gospel of the finished work of Christ may be the way we enter the kingdom of God, but we feel that we need something more to continue in our efforts to please God.

Has it ever crossed your mind that God’s favor may not depend upon our works?  What if our salvation does not depend on us?  What if our moral behavior depends on another?  What if the only thing we really need is Jesus?  Is Jesus, salvation?

Join us as we discuss the ground-breaking reminder from Tullian Tchividjian in his book Jesus+Nothing=Everything.  Whether or not you have read the book, you will be challenged and encouraged by this discussion.  We will be giving away the book for free to all who attend.
